22th April 2008, Thursday - Istanbul - Gallipoli Peninsula
The dates for this tour will really suit those who wish to avoid the crowds and the hectic atmosphere of the town on the night of the 25th of April.

Depart for Eceabat from Istanbul Orient Hostel. There will be a rest stop half way where you can buy nibblies for the night ahead.

16:00 Arrive and check into accommodation. A welcome dinner and folk show awaits.
 
19:00 Join the convoy of our tour buses for departure to the Dawn Service site where we will grab a space in the large crowd and wait, listening to the pre dawn program.

23rd April 2008, Wednesday- Gallipoli Tour
08.00–10.00 Breakfast awaits.

Documentary: The Fatal Shore Children’s day celebrations start in the town centre at 9am. Great chance to see the traditional folk dances of the area. This is a free display with music and dancing.

Restaurant lunch to start off the tour Departure for Gallipoli battlefield tour of the ANZAC area.
5 hour tour visiting:
• Kabatepe War Museum.
• Beach Cemetery (John Simpson's grave).
• ANZAC Cove. • Ari Burnu - first ANZAC landing place.
• Dawn Service Site – seeing the layout will give you an idea of where to head for good views.
• Lone Pine - main Australian memorial.
• Johnson's Jolly - walk in the original ANZAC & Turkish trenches and view the tunnels.
• Turkish memorial.
• The Nek - main scene depicted in the movie Gallipoli.
• Chunuk Bair - main memorial for the New Zealand soldiers.

Already toured Gallipoli with us before? Then you could use the day to go exploring in the trenches.

24th April 2008, Thursday - Gallipoli Peninsula
08.00–10.00 Breakfast awaits. Today gives you a chance to see the interantional service in Cape Helles.The rest of the day is free for you to do as you please. A good sleep in the late afternoon is recommended. Take the opportunity to experience a traditional Turkish bath, check out the town of Eceabat, walk to the castle in the next village or visit the ruins of Troy and stock up on munchies for the big day to come.

Check out of your room and place your bags in the luggage compartment of your bus, ready for your return journey after the services.

Join the convoy of our tour buses for departure to the Dawn Service site where we will grab a space in the large crowd and wait, listening to the pre dawn program.

25th April 2008, Friday - ANZAC Day Services

Dawn Service commences as the sun breaks the skyline behind the Turkish Sphinx.

While waiting for your bus to transfer you to the next service you can eat breakfast on the grass with the group or feel free to tell your leader that you want to go exploring; take your breakfast pack and walk the ridges and old trenches to the next service. Australian and/or New Zealand National services. (Service times for these have yet to be released)
Lunch at a restaurant back in town.
Late afternoon:
Depart for Selcuk. The bus will drop you off as close to your accommodation as possible. There will be stop on the way where you can buy dinner.
